SAMVEDA Training and Research Centre a non-profit and non-Government society was instituted in early 1995 under the able guidance of Dr.P.Prakash, Reader, Department of Psychology, University of Mysore, Mysore and founded by Mr. Suremdranath Nishanimut. Samveda is dedicated to the rehabilitation of children with learning disability, hearing impairment, speech disorders and mild mental retardation. SAMVEDA has been contributing in the field of Special Needs Education keeping in touch with the recent developments in the field of Educational Research in the developed world and keeping "Salamanca Framework (the ultimate guidelines on Special Needs Education declared by UNESCO), as its foundation.

The founder had a grand idea of developing Samveda Training and resource Centre in a huge campus that would reach out to more number of children. It would not only cater to children with learning disabilities but also children with other disabilities, have a Teacher Training Centre and a host of other activities. Their teaching modules have been very effective and the same can be gathered with the success stories of children who have received training at Samveda.

ToolBox worked with Samveda on the following work-streams:

1. Developed the Cash Flow Management Template for the organization.
2. Developed the Driving Board Tool on the ToolBox Methodology to increase efficiency of the organization to reach its Mission.
3. Developed Strategic Plan and Business Plan for the organization for a period of 5 years
4. Developed Scorecard to monitor the progress and meet the deadlines for various activities of the organization.

Impact of ToolBox Intervention

• Developed Financial Management Systems of the organization
• Instilled a management perspective for smooth running and scaling up process for the organization. 
• Focus on strengthening the existing systems and then aim at scaling up the activities through effective Strategic management.
